Systematic Review: Web-based Dietary Interventions in Type 2 Diabetes
2020
First systematic review worldwide to determine the effectiveness of web-based interventions on dietary behaviour change and glycaemic control in people with type 2 diabetes. At the time of the review, only five randomised controlled trial studies had been conducted globally, indicating the sheer paucity of data available on effective nutrition interventions. While some positive changes were demonstrated in the studies, the review confirmed the need for more well-designed digital nutrition interventions to support people with type 2 diabetes.
